History

Being over 100 years old, our building has a long history.  We have pictures of the building in the early 1900's with the name "D. Justice" on the front.  However, it was best know as
"C.C. Hoehne Hardware" for over 50 years.

We bought the building in Fall 2007 from a family in Greenwood that  had a variety store for a number of years.  They had purchased the building from Hoehnes. After they closed their variety store, a screen-printer rented the space for a while.

Circa 1910

Over the past year, our families and community have come together to restore this old building.  We wanted to preserve one of the few original Greenwood buildings left on Main Street today.  After a long renovation, we opened our store on June 11, 2008.  We purchased the local floral shop in Greenwood that had been in business for over 20 years and moved the floral operations into our newly renovated and spacious building.  The owner/designer from that floral shop has joined our staff.

Be sure to come see us.  We have incorporated a lot of old treasures from the building back into our décor.  We have an original drop staircase, safe, and McCaskey Register on display.  The floors are the original wood and we were even able to keep some of the old fixtures.
